Job Overview

As a Medical Scribe at Signature Perinatal Center, you will play a vital role in supporting our physician through accurate and efficient medical documentation. This position offers invaluable hands-on experience in the medical field and the opportunity to work closely with a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist in a high-level clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with our physician during patient visits by transcribing real-time documentation into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Prepare, update, and maintain accurate patient charts, including histories, physical exams, assessments, and test results.
  • Ensure medical documentation is thorough, precise, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Support clinic workflow through administrative duties such as faxing lab results, managing referrals, and coordinating follow-up care.
  • Assist with coding and billing documentation.
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Take initiative in supporting clinic efficiency and enhancing patient care.
  • Demonstrate the ability to transcribe quickly and accurately while maintaining attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

  • A fast learner with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills and typing speed (70–80 WPM recommended).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail.
  • Prior medical assistant or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred (training provided).
  • Ability to commute to Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308.
  • In-person position.
