Responsibilities

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits, capturing symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and provider instructions with precision.
• Assist healthcare providers by documenting medical histories, physical examinations, and procedural details in real-time using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Ensure all medical documentation complies with legal standards and hospital policies, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
• Support the management of medical records by organizing, updating, and retrieving patient information efficiently.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures to accurately interpret provider instructions and patient interactions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and optimize documentation processes during busy clinic hours or emergency room shifts.
• Maintain a proactive attitude by verifying transcription accuracy, correcting errors promptly, and ensuring completeness of all medical records.

Requirements

• Proven experience with transcription services in a healthcare setting or familiarity with medical documentation practices.
• Prior medical office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures to support accurate documentation.
• Excellent typing skills with high speed and accuracy to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments.
• Knowledge of medical records management principles to ensure compliance with privacy laws and organizational policies.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-stakes settings such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics.
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent communication skills to accurately interpret provider instructions and patient interactions. Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
