Translates Physician's dictations of patient care and treatment into comprehensive typed records by performing the following duties.
Data entry
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides a record of patient care by transcribing and interpreting physician/patient conversation into medical legal documents.
Detects any discrepancies in dictation and edits them accordingly.
Translates complex medical terms and ensures that the meaning of the reports do not change.
Develops an extensive knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with a variety of medical documents.
Submits completed typed records for review and filing to physician for approval.
Provides completed document to Medical Records for scanning.
Under direction of physician, transcribes patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medication, etc.
Lists all proper diagnoses as well as any follow up instructions as dictated by the physician.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
