Medical Scribe

This is a fast-paced and academically rigorous role working side-by-side with neurologists and neurosurgeons, providing real-time documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Scribes will be expected to capture detailed neurological histories, exams, imaging interpretations, and procedural notes with precision.

Due to the steep learning curve and complexity of the specialty, this position is specifically geared toward pre-med and pre-PA candidates seeking in-depth clinical exposure in neurology and neurosurgery. A minimum one-year commitment is required. We are seeking serious applicants with a strong interest in pursuing a career in medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document comprehensive neurological histories, review of systems, and detailed neurological exams
• Assist in documenting neurosurgical consultations and procedures
• Accurately record imaging findings (MRI, CT) and diagnostic studies (EEG, EMG)
• Provide real-time EMR documentation during patient encounters
• Support clinical workflow in a high-acuity setting

Requirements:

• Pre-med or pre-PA track required
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred; willingness to learn neurology/neurosurgery-specific terminology required
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Flexible availability Monday–Friday
• Typing speed of at least 60 WPM
• Quick learner with strong critical thinking skills
• Proficient in English and Spanish
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
