Medical Scribe

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and healthcare providers to accurately document patient encounters in real-time, ensuring that medical records are complete and up-to-date. This role is essential in enhancing the efficiency of clinical workflows, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe medical documentation during patient visits, including history, physical exams, and treatment plans.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively to ensure precise communication of patient information.
• Assist in managing electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure seamless access to patient data. Familiarity with Cerner is a plus.
• Document any relevant physiological and anatomical details as discussed by the healthcare provider during consultations.
• Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation processes and enhance overall patient care efficiency.
• Stay updated on medical records management practices and regulatory requirements.
• Assist other colleagues in other office work when available

Experience

• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is highly desirable.
• Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
• Previous experience with ER documentation or similar fast-paced environments is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
