We are looking for a Medical Scribe to join our team! The job entails transcribing the physician's dictation, entering orders into the system, and ensuring that all medical records are up to date and accurate. The ideal candidate will have a strong typing skills ( approx 100 WPM), be able to accurately document patient encounters in an electronic health record system and some fluency in Spanish. A background in medical terminology is a definite plus. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the medical field and to work closely with a seasoned Emergency Physician.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Assist the physician with intake and documentation during the patient visit.
• Ensure accuracy of all documentation.
• Follow up with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Understand medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
