Medical Scribe

JOB DESCRIPTION

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to fill our part-time remote scribe position.
• Scribes will work closely with nephrologist Dr. Syed Saghir and be responsible for the documentation of patient consultations, visits, and examinations.
• This role is essential for ensuring that medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date, allowing
• for improved patient care and streamlined operations within the medical office and hospital.
• This position is a hybrid remote position. Most duties will be fulfilled virtually. Hours are highly flexible and partially at the discretion of our scribes who will ensure all responsibilities are fulfilled.
• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Document medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans in electronic health record systems.
• Responsible for medical coding and billing practices to accurately assign appropriate codes to services
• provided during patient encounters.
• Assist in various administrative tasks when necessary, allowing the physician to focus more on patient care.
• Stay informed about medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to enhance documentation accuracy.
• REQUIREMENTS
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent typing skills with high accuracy to ensure precise documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• This role requires about 12-15 hours per week as well as weekend availability.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
