Medical Scribe

*Overview*

As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals by accurately documenting patient encounters. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in medical documentation, ensuring precise and timely recording of patient information. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with medical staff in a fast-paced environment.

*Responsibilities*

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to accurately transcribe medical documentation in a timely manner

- Maintain detailed and organized medical records, reviewing reports for completeness

-Provide excellent customer service and the highest quality patient care

-Take pharmacy phone calls, review charts and calls from patients and other external sources.

- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure accurate documentation

-Correct errors in transcription, grammar, punctuation and spelling

-Escort patients

-Actively demonstrates teamwork.

- Assist in navigating electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently

- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all relevant regulations in handling patient information

-Arrive prior to the physician or NP/PA to ensure the day is prepared .

-Performs other duties as required.

-Able to drive to Dallas (76228) and Plano

*Experience*

- Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred

- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is highly desirable

- Familiarity with EHR systems is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and ability to type accurately

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Must be able to stand and move quickly for long periods of time; frequent walking for short distances, repetitive motion work with keyboards and physical writing.
