Medical Scribe

Allen Arthritis is a medical practice in facility in Allen Texas. We are looking for a full-time medical scribe. This is a full-time position with 2 weeks PTO and a full benefits package.

Description:

Scribe site with a provider to assist in patient documentation. Scribe will work with different providers same office each day to improve efficiency and documentation based on the needs of the practice. Scribe will assist the physician or NPP with a variety of tasks; performing documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patient's visit, and partnering with the provider to deliver efficient patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be present for patient evaluations to efficiently create and edit the patient medical record based on the patient encounter. This includes but is not limited to:
• Recording patient subjective history and provider objective findings
• Recording patient past medical history
• Transcribe recorded dictations into the patient encounter
• Documenting procedures performed by the provider(s)
• Documenting consults to other providers
• Preparing discharge summaries for patients
• Facilitate communication between providers and other staff
• Perform other clerical tasks that optimize efficiency

Qualifications:

• Must be able to stand on the job for long periods of time
• Must be able to type and code all information into the medical records system
• Medical terminology and/or anatomy and physiology course completion or equivalent experience
• Demonstrate proficiency in typing and computer use
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work and participation in a team environment
• Medical Transcription: 1 year (Preferred)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Location: One location

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
