Responsibilities

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits, capturing symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and physician instructions with accuracy and speed
• Assist healthcare providers by documenting medical histories, physical examinations, and procedural details in real-time using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records in accordance with regulatory standards and clinic policies
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure precise documentation of complex medical information
• Support the clinical team by managing medical documentation workflows, including charting lab results, imaging reports, and medication lists
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Adapt quickly to emergency room or urgent care environments by accurately capturing rapid-paced interactions and procedures

Skills

• Proficiency in transcription with excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Prior experience working in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR platforms for efficient documentation management
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical records management
• Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced clinical settings such as emergency rooms or urgent care centers
• Excellent attention to detail combined with active listening skills to accurately capture complex medical conversations
• Knowledge of medical documentation standards and compliance requirements
