Medical Scribe

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to transcribe medical documentation efficiently. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent typing skills.

Duties

• Accurately transcribe patient histories, physical exams, and other relevant medical information during patient visits.
• Document all aspects of patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Assist healthcare providers by ensuring that all necessary information is captured during consultations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
• Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation processes and enhance patient care.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure precise documentation.

Experience

• Previous experience in wound care is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
• Proficiency in typing and transcribing medical documentation accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
