Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of our medical practice by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical documentation systems. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and precise medical records.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe patient encounters during examinations and procedures in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Document medical histories, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans as dictated by the physician.
• Ensure that all medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with legal and ethical standards.
• Assist in maintaining organized medical documentation within the office.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline workflows and improve patient care.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to enhance documentation accuracy.
• Support the healthcare team with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage.
• Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate transcription.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
