The Medical Scribe position will:
- Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physician.
- Enter the patient room with physician during visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation.
- Update patient history, exam and other pertinent health information in the patient chart
- Gain substantial knowledge in how to appropriately document patient history, physical exams, assessments, diagnostic results, medical procedures, treatment plans, medical opinions of consultants, diagnoses, medication / prescription information, and follow-up instructions
- Complies with medical facility policies, including those related to HIPAA
- Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
- Our office paper charting based.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Skilled in computer based word-processing (Microsoft Office)
- Administrative writing skills
- Record-keeping
- Typing
- Verbal Communication
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Required: 1-Year Experience in Medical Scribe
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred: Experience in EHR System Modernizing Medicine (ModMed)
