The Medical Scribe position will:

  • Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physician.
  • Enter the patient room with physician during visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation.
  • Update patient history, exam and other pertinent health information in the patient chart
  • Gain substantial knowledge in how to appropriately document patient history, physical exams, assessments, diagnostic results, medical procedures, treatment plans, medical opinions of consultants, diagnoses, medication / prescription information, and follow-up instructions
  • Complies with medical facility policies, including those related to HIPAA
  • Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
  • Our office paper charting based.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Skilled in computer based word-processing (Microsoft Office)
  • Administrative writing skills
  • Record-keeping
  • Typing
  • Verbal Communication

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Required: 1-Year Experience in Medical Scribe
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred: Experience in EHR System Modernizing Medicine (ModMed)
