Position Summary
Coastal Carolina Otolaryngology is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our growing Otolaryngology (ENT) practice. The Medical Scribe will work closely with our physicians to accurately document patient encounters, medical histories, examinations, procedures, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR). This role allows providers to focus on patient care while ensuring thorough and efficient documentation.
- Document office procedures, diagnostic studies, and physician interpretations.
- Enter orders, referrals, and prescriptions as directed by the physician and in accordance with practice policies.
- Assist with completion of medical documentation to ensure timely chart closure.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Communicate professionally with providers, staff, and patients.
- Perform other administrative and clinical documentation duties as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong typing and computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
