Duties

• Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions into electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems in real-time, capturing detailed notes on patient history, symptoms, examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans
• Assist healthcare providers by managing and updating medical records efficiently, ensuring all documentation reflects current patient status and care plans
• Support physicians during patient visits by documenting procedures, imaging orders and specialist referrals
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Manage transcription tasks with high typing speed and accuracy to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments
• Collaborate with medical staff to streamline documentation workflows and improve overall efficiency in the clinic or hospital setting

Qualifications

• Experience in medical transcription or as a Medical Scribe in a healthcare setting is preferred but not necessary
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures
• Prior experience working in a medical office is advantageous
• Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed to support real-time documentation demands
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain meticulous records under pressure
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms and healthcare workflows
