Responsibilities

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation. EMA experience a PLUS!!!
• Assist healthcare providers with routine clinical tasks, including preparing examination rooms, collecting vital signs, and supporting procedures.
• Manage and update patient medical records with precision, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately document diagnoses, treatments, and physician instructions.
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient check-in/check-out processes.
• Maintain an organized workflow by efficiently typing reports, updating medical records, and ensuring all documentation aligns with provider notes.
• Respond promptly to urgent situations in emergency room settings or urgent care environments, supporting clinicians in delivering timely care.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and record management is essential.
• Strong transcription skills with the ability to accurately convert spoken words into written records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and human anatomy to ensure precise documentation.
• Experience handling medical records securely while adhering to privacy laws such as HIPAA is required.
• Familiarity with Dermatology is a PLUS!!
• Excellent typing skills to facilitate rapid and accurate note-taking during patient encounters.
