Job Description:
- Serve as a 'living recorder' for real time data on date of service
- Document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the provider which may include but are not limited to: patient medical history, diagnoses and symptoms, procedures and treatments, patient education and explanations of follow up care
- Provide follow up assistance in coordinating referrals, preparing specimens for labs/pathology, update medical records, ensure prescription requests are addressed, other clerical duties as assigned
- Implement medical standards for assessment, collect, organize and catalog data for the required quality reporting system
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment use between patients as well as at end of day
- Attend training sessions on topics such as HIPPA, OSHA, ADA/CDC compliance and others
- Be willing to cross train in other areas of the office as time permits
Qualifications:
- Reliability and dependability a must
- Possess woking knowledge of common medical practices/terminology in a dermatologic setting
- Implement critical thinking and use sound judgment
- Communicate effectively and appropriately
- Have familiarity and be comfortable with computers
- Work with minimal supervision and enjoy a faced paced, team centered environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in protecting personal health information
Experience:
- Preference will be given to those that have dermatology scribing experience
- Familiarity with Medical Records platform, EMA and MIPS very helpful
- Knowledge of health information management is helpful
- Being bilingual is a plus
- Additional health based certifications are helpful but not required

Pay: $30,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
