Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and document detailed patient encounters in real-time during podiatric examinations and procedures
  • Assist the podiatrist by capturing comprehensive medical histories, physical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to ensure accurate and organized patient files
  • Support medical office operations by updating and maintaining patient records, charts, and documentation workflows
  • Interpret and understand medical terminology related to podiatry, anatomy, physiology, and related fields
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards
  • Assist in preparing reports or summaries for follow-up care or insurance purposes as needed
  • assisting podiatrist while in the room and at times and helping to turn over the room

Skills

  • Proven experience in medical transcription or scribing within a clinical setting, preferably in podiatry or related specialties
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and podiatric procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and record management
  • Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed to keep pace with clinical workflows
  • Prior experience in a medical office environment or emergency room setting is highly desirable
  • Ability to interpret complex medical information quickly and accurately
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precise documentation of patient encounters
