Medical Scribe (Full-time)

Leon Medical Centers is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our growing healthcare team.

As a Medical Scribe at Leon Medical Centers, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and enhancing patient care. Working under the direct supervision of an attending physician, you will be responsible for accurately creating and maintaining patients’ Electronic Medical Records (EMR). This includes documenting patient histories and clinical information as dictated by the physician. Your contributions will help streamline clinic operations, improve provider efficiency, and ensure precise, comprehensive medical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately document patient histories, physical examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans in the EMR as dictated by physicians
Capture and organize patient care encounters, including diagnostic data and clinical findings
Accompany physicians during patient visits to record medical histories and examinations in real time
Update and maintain patient records, including histories, physical exams, and other relevant health information
Perform additional clerical and administrative tasks as assigned to support clinic workflow and provider productivity

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements
Fluency in both English and Spanish
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of basic medical terminology
Proficiency with computers, including accuracy and the ability to quickly learn new software applications
Flexibility and willingness to travel to various Leon Medical Centers locations throughout Miami-Dade County as needed
