Medical Scribe - (Full Time) - Scott Orthopedic 7151

St, Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Medical Scribe to work at Scott Orthopedic. Performing documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patient's visit, and partnering with the physician to deliver the pinnacle of efficient patient care.

• Answer telephones and take appropriate messages among other clerical functions.
• Make appointments and schedule referrals to specialists.
• Document the physician dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies.
• Document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician
• Document the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the physician.
• Document the correct time of patient care related activities, including physician to physician communication, family communication and re-examination of the patient.
• Proper knowledge of medical terminology.
• Assist with FMLA paperwork.
• Respond to tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant program preferred.

Experience: Previous Physician Office experience preferred.

Certifications/Skills: CMA or CMAA preferred but not required.
