Medical Scribe (Manhattan and Yonkers Offices)

Bilingual (Spanish and English) medical scribe is needed for a busy Sports Medicine/Pain Management and Orthopedic doctor for medical offices located in Manhattan and Yonkers. ***VEHICLE REQUIRED***

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in the medical field. Must be able to commit to at least 2 years of full employment. Great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in the medical field. You will work closely with a physician and gain invaluable insight and experience in the patient care process. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and policies, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to become compromised. Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:45AM-7PM
Thursday 3PM-8PM

Duties include, but not limited to:

· Charting Physician- Patient office encounters during consultations or medical examinations on our custom EMR program.

· Locate and obtain a patient's medical history, recent laboratory and radiology results.

· Facilitate diagnostic orders.

· Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician exam.

· Perform clerical task as needed by the physician including faxing, phone calls, referral letters.

Requirements:

· Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of orthopedics preferred.

· Must speak Spanish fluently.

· Excellent computer skills Macintosh proficient.

· Impeccable verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Good bedside manner as you will be working with the doctor and directly with patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications
