We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with healthcare professional to accurately document patient encounters and assist with medical record management. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training, experience and knowledge of medicine, and physical therapy would be preferred.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Proficient computer skills required including the ability to learn various software programs for dictation and charting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to actively listen, observe and document events accurately and clearly
- Knowledge of proper English, spelling and grammar
- Would own his own system, a strong internet connection
The Medical Scribe job duties include but are not limited to:
- Assists the practitioner in navigating the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and may locate information for review as requested by the practitioner (i.e., previous notes, reports, test results, and laboratory results). Also, may research information requested by the practitioner.
- Accompanies the practitioner upon patient interview and examination and they do not interject their own observations or impressions.
- Documents the practitioner dictated patient history, including history of present illness; review of systems; past medical and surgical history; family and social histories; and medications and allergies.
- Locate and record relevant previous treatment modalities and share with the provider
- Documents the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the practitioner or other related labs and imaging performed previously by other physicians or healthcare providers.
- Documents the correct time of patient care related activities, including practitioner to practitioner communication, family communication and re-examination of the patient.
- A scribe will not sign patient encounters. When the physician concludes the patient's encounter, the physician will review all documentation completed by the scribe. The physician will then make, if necessary, any amendments and sign the chart. Ultimately, the physician is responsible for documentation of the patient's encounter.
- Make “chart rounds” with the practitioner to review patient status, delays, and any other care-related issues.
- Ensures authentication takes place before the Practitioner and scribe leave the patient care area and that all orders for patient care are communicated by the practitioner.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

Fixed Salary: PKR 100,000
