Medical Scribe - Urology

Medical scribes accompany physicians during patient appointments and fill out charts in the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts prior to appointments.
• Accompany physicians during patient encounters.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, symptoms, physical findings, and treatment plans in real-time.
• Transcribe and enter medical orders accurately into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Maintain a clean and professional working environment.
• Once experienced, scribes must assist with the training of newly hired scribes.

Required Skills

• Accurate typing at an adequate pace.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from healthcare professionals.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Education Requirement

• High school diploma

This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic healthcare setting. The Medical Scribe will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, facilitating effective communication between healthcare professionals, and providing support for administrative tasks.

Please note that previous experience as a Medical Scribe or knowledge of Urology procedures is preferred but not required. We are willing to provide training for the right candidate who demonstrates the necessary skills and commitment to excellence.
