Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scribes to join our growing clinical documentation team. Our scribes work closely with providers to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely medical documentation during patient encounters.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a professional, autonomous, and fast-paced healthcare environment. Medical scribes play a vital role in supporting providers by managing documentation, coordinating information within the electronic medical record (EMR), and helping streamline clinical workflows.

This role includes a hybrid schedule with approximately 50% remote work and 50% in-person support at facilities within the Indianapolis, IN region.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare for & document patient-provider encounters by using an electronic medical record (EMR)—including, but not limited to, past medical history, current medical issues, physical exams, treatment plans, disposition instructions, orders, and rechecks.
  • Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
  • Maintain and update daily patient rounding lists and encounter tracking logs.
  • Assist with ensuring documentation supports appropriate billing and coding.
  • Complete charting and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with healthcare facilities, nursing staff, and care teams as needed. Document phone calls and patient communications when directed.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
