Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant

Our busy dermatology practice is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Medical Scribe/Medical assistant to assist our healthcare team with documenting patient medical records. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. This position provides clinical, surgical and administrative support in an ambulatory care setting working with the physician. You will be involved in direct patient care which includes rooming and preparing patients for visits, scribing, prior authorizations, answering patient calls, stocking, and inventory. You will also be helping the front office with referrals, scheduling, faxes, check-in, and check-out of patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Transcribe patient appointments

• Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals to medical specialists
• Assist the Physician with fundamental patient care
• Maintain a clean and professional working environment
• Assist with training of newly hired Medical Scribes

Qualifications and skills: Successful completion of Medical Assistant training program an asset Experience with medical terminology

• Background check and drug testing will be performed prior to hiring

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
