Medical Scribe/Rooming Assistant

Job Summary

Lakes Dermatology, P.A. has an opening for a full-time Medical Scribe/Rooming Assistant to work alongside our award-winning physicians at our St. Louis Park/Burnsville clinics.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient encounters in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in real-time during medical examinations and procedures
• Proficient computer knowledge with the ability to learn the electronic record system
• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and medication lists
• Assisting the physician with lasers, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Blood draws
• Wound care and suture removals
• Support clinical procedures
• Stocking/prepping rooms
• Assist with regular clinical duties
• Patient phone calls, triage, prior authorizations
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and typing skills
• Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate with a passion for excellence in healthcare
• Assisting reception staff with duties such as making copies or scanning documents when needed
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Prior experience in clinical settings is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding systems (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical documentation tools (preferred)
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work out of both of our St. Louis Park and Burnsville clinics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
