Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Summary/Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive medical summaries, supporting legal case management, and assisting with a variety of legal administrative tasks across multiple practice areas. Your proactive approach and strong research skills will help ensure the efficiency and accuracy of our legal processes, enabling us to deliver exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including medical summaries, reports, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files efficiently through document management systems; organize and maintain electronic and physical files in compliance with firm policies.
- Assist attorneys with document review, data entry, filing, and transcription tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of case materials.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and preparing status reports for ongoing litigation or legal projects.
- Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing communications via phone etiquette, and organizing meetings to facilitate smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
- Legal experience or legal administrative experience is required; familiarity with multiple practice areas, such as insurance defense mostly, and some personal injury law is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in document management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting reports and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure error-free documents.
- Strong communication skills to gather relevant case information professionally.
- Familiarity with litigation processes, including document review and trial preparation activities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
