Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Technologist based in Bradenton, FL. The Medical Technologist will perform laboratory tests, analyze samples, and ensure the quality control of all procedures and results. Responsibilities include working in laboratory medicine, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. The role also involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the overall mission of SunCoast Blood Centers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Technology and Laboratory Skills
• Experience in Quality Control and adherence to best practices for laboratory accuracy
• Knowledge of Laboratory Medicine and its application in medical settings
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, including safety and regulatory compliance
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• National certification as a Medical Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AMT) is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required
• Previous experience in a laboratory or blood center environment is a plus
