Duties

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the medical transcription team to achieve productivity and quality goals
• Monitor daily workflow to ensure timely completion of transcription assignments across various medical specialties
• Conduct regular quality audits of transcribed documents, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement
• Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing staff
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify documentation requirements and resolve issues
• Maintain comprehensive records of team performance, workflow metrics, and quality assurance activities
• Stay updated on industry regulations, HIPAA compliance standards, and evolving transcription technology to optimize processes

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical transcription (3+ years) with a strong understanding of medical terminology, and documentation standards
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare or transcription environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance and constructive feedback
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficiency in transcription software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance requirements
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and process improvements
