Medical Transcriptionist

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to medical dictations and accurately transcribe spoken words.
• Review and edit drafts prepared by speech recognition software.
• Ensure accuracy of medical terminology, abbreviations, and drug names.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient-related information and records.
• Proofread transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and formatting consistency.
• Collaborate with physicians for clarification of unclear dictations.
• Keep updated with medical terminologies and transcription standards.
• Submit completed reports within defined timelines and accuracy standards.

Skill & Experience
