Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, enabling them to accurately transcribe medical reports and documents. This role is crucial in ensuring that patient records are precise and up-to-date, supporting healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.

Duties

• Transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written documents with high accuracy.
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure correct interpretation of medical data.
• Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and adherence to established guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any discrepancies or unclear dictations.
• Manage and organize medical documents within the office system for easy retrieval.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy is essential.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Strong typing skills with attention to detail and accuracy in transcribing documents.
• Excellent listening skills to accurately capture dictated information.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record systems is a plus.
