A Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for accurately transcribing audio words from Physicians and other health workers as part of a patient's medical history or other necessary documentation.

- Transcribe radiology reports; including MRIs, CTs, nuclear medicine and vascular reports in a high-production, acute care setting.
- Maintain medical record integrity by interpreting, editing and transcribing dictation for multiple physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Transcribe surgery notes, MRI reviews, surgeon introductions, and follow-up visits for ambulatory surgery center.
- Transcribe procedural and ultrasound reports.
- Verify accuracy of patient information such as name and identification number; verify accuracy of transcription for correct punctuation.
- Provide medical transcription services to general practice and specialize practice physicians as well as other medical professionals as a HIPAA-compliant subcontractor.
- Type mammograms, ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs, and plain films.
- Transcribe cardiology/catheterization reports, nuclear stress tests, mammograms, ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs, and bone densities.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of correct use of English, grammar and punctuation.
