Medical Transcriptionist/Scribe

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic medical environment, supporting quality patient care through precise and timely documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with excellent typing skills and experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe physician examination reports, and other medical documents with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards
• Review and edit transcribed reports for clarity, accuracy, and completeness
• Maintain organized records of all transcriptions and related documentation
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify ambiguous information or incomplete records as needed
• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and relevant healthcare practices to ensure precise transcription

Experience

• Proven experience in medical transcription or as a scribe in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous
• Prior experience working in a medical office environment is beneficial
• Ability to understand complex medical language and effectively transcribe it into clear documentation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
