As a Medical Transport Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and clinics with professionalism and compassion. Duties

• Safely operate specialized vehicles such as shuttle buses, paratransit vans, or limousines to transport patients and medical staff.
• Assist patients with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility aids or wheelchairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and patients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times efficiently.
• Handle heavy lifting when assisting patients with mobility devices or luggage, always prioritizing safety.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
• Document transportation activities accurately, including mileage logs, patient information, and incident reports if necessary.

Skills

• Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine services demonstrating safe and responsible operation of vehicles.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting patients or handling equipment.
• Knowledge of paratransit operations, commercial driving regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent customer service skills to provide compassionate support during transport.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability.
• Experience with school bus driving or <PERSON> driver roles is a plus for versatility in transportation services.
