Medical Transportation Driver – Stretcher Transport | Full-Time | Brandon, FL | Weekly Pay

Skyline Transport is hiring a full-time Stretcher Transport Driver to join our team in Brandon, FL. This is a physically demanding, patient-facing role — and we are looking for someone who leads with compassion first.

No prior NEMT experience required. We will train the right person. What we cannot train is character. We need individuals who are genuinely kind, patient, and dedicated to treating every passenger with dignity.

Pay: $17–$19/hr based on experience and certifications held | Hourly | Direct Deposit | Weekly Pay

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Saturday | Shifts vary between 6:00am–6:00pm | Schedules provided the day prior

To be considered, you must meet all of the following:

✔ Valid U.S. driver's license — No CDL required

✔ Clean driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier

✔ Able to provide a 7-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

✔ No DUI, DWI, reckless driving, major violations, or license suspensions

✔ Able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical)

✔ Pass a national criminal background check

✔ Pass a 10-panel pre-employment urine drug screen

✔ Reliable personal transportation to and from our Brandon, FL office daily — company vehicles are dispatched from and returned to our office each shift and are not permitted to be taken home

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. The following are essential functions of this role:

• Regularly lift and assist with moving passengers and equipment weighing 100 lbs. or more, with assistance as applicable
• Frequently bend, stoop, and lift during passenger loading and unloading
• Regularly push, pull, and maneuver stretchers and transport equipment
• Stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout your shift
• Operate mechanical lifts and securement equipment

About the Role

The primary focus of this position is stretcher transport. You will be transporting patients to and from medical appointments, procedures, and healthcare facilities — many of whom are elderly, medically fragile, or anxious. Your presence and your attitude are part of their care.

No CDL required. No emergency response. Company vehicle and fuel card provided during your shift. All vehicles are picked up and returned to our Brandon office daily — personal transportation to our location is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform stretcher transports as the primary duty; wheelchair transports as needed
• Safely load, secure, and unload passengers using proper techniques and equipment
• Communicate with dispatch throughout your shift
• Report to the Operations Manager
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle at all times
• Provide respectful, compassionate service to every passenger and facility contact

Preferred (Not Required)

• Prior stretcher, NEMT, EMS transport, or medical transport experience
• Shuttle, delivery, or professional driving experience
• Customer service or patient care background
