- Transcription:Accurately transcribe physician-dictated medical reports, such as patient case notes, progress notes, operative reports, and diagnostic reports.
- Editing & Proofreading:Review and edit drafts generated by speech recognition software, correcting grammar, medical, and formatting errors.
- Documentation:Ensure that documents are properly formatted, timely, and accurately entered into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Confidentiality:Maintain the utmost confidentiality and data security of all patient information.
- Coordination:Liaise with physicians, nurses, and other staff to clarify unclear information or resolve discrepancies in records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Typing Proficiency:High typing speed and accuracy are essential.
- Medical Terminology:Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and common medical procedures.
- Computer Skills:Proficiency with transcription software, EHR systems, and other office applications.
