Advocate Health Advisors, one of America’s fastest-growing Medicare Field Marketing Organizations (FMO), seeks an experienced Medicare Financial Analyst to support strategic agent acquisitions, financial analysis, and broker successorship planning. The ideal candidate will combine strong Medicare industry expertise, financial analysis skills, and relationship-building ability to help transition retiring agents’ books of business while supporting agent recruitment and acquisition initiatives
Objective:
The primary objective of this role is to support the strategic acquisition and transition of Medicare agents’ books of business while ensuring smooth successorship planning and long-term growth for the organization. This position will analyze book-of-business value, guide agents through succession planning, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and seamless transitions for beneficiaries and brokers.
Responsibilities:
Agent Acquisition & Successorship
- Develop and support the Advocate broker successorship program and curriculum.
- Work directly with agents to develop long-term succession and retirement planning strategies.
- Guide brokers through Book of Business (BoB) transfer processes, including carrier requirements, timelines, and documentation.
- Assist retiring agents with transition planning to ensure continuity of care for beneficiaries.
- Support agent recruiting and retention initiatives.
Financial Analysis & Strategic Insights
- Analyze the Book of Business and commission reports.
- Assess financial viability of agent acquisitions and successorship agreements.
- Track successorship outcomes, purchase agreements, and financial performance.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial modeling and data analysis.
- Collaborate with commissions, finance, and client care teams to generate comprehensive reporting.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain organization and oversight for each succession or acquisition project.
- Document and track Book of Business B transfer processes across multiple carriers.
- Build and maintain relationships with agents, carriers, and regional managers.
- Present acquisition and successorship insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Represent Advocate Health Advisors at industry conferences and virtual events when assigned.
- Lead internal projects related to broker acquisition, retention, and successorship initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 3+ years of Medicare industry experience
- Strong working knowledge of Medicare Advantage enrollments and commissions structures
- Experience analyzing Book of Business and commission data
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency
- Active Health and Life Insurance License (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Medicare Advantage experience
- Experience in agent acquisition, FMO operations, or broker successorship
- Experience evaluating Book of Business acquisitions
- Financial modeling or strategic planning experience
