Medication Management Prescriber

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and compassionate psychiatric nurse or MD to join our mental health team as a 1099 contractor with the ability to work FTF or remotely. The psychiatric nurse or MD will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients with mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing patient-centered care, prescribing medications, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Primary Responsibility

To provide organizational and administrative support to staff and clients with a positive attitude. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA laws, and maintains appropriate boundaries when interacting with clients and staff via email, face-to-face, and by telephone. To contract and credential licensed practitioners, obtain group contracts, and maintain all aspects of contracting in a timely manner.

Pay Options:

65% of revenue generated (if under the supervision of a collaborating doctor) OR

70% of revenue generated (if no supervision is required)

Note: You must have a collaborating doctor or be able to independently practice. If you have a collaborating physician, please indicate in your submission for pay discussion.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patients for side effects and therapeutic responses.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions and monitor patients' progress towards goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans and make recommendations for changes as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health disorders and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
• Consult as needed per the requirements set forth by the Board

Qualifications:

• Hold a license number in good standing with the California Board of Registered Nursing and be able to practice without restrictions.
• Adhere to all ethics and legal standards set forth by California Board of Registered Nursing
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• At least 2 years in practice as a PMHNP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong documentation skills and comfort with EHR systems
• Be comfortable with technology.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
• Self-motivated
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment options.
• BLS and/or ACLS certification
