Job Summary

The Pines of Mount Lebanon is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to join our care team in Pittsburgh, PA. We have part-time openings available on our morning (1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) and afternoon (2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) teams. This position is structured for 3 shifts a week with a rotating weekend schedule, providing a consistent, predictable routine and a supportive team environment.

Schedule & Status

• Status: Part-Time (3 shifts a week)
• Weekend Rotation: Includes a predictable, rotating weekend schedule.

Compensation & Shift Rates

• 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM): $23.80 per hour
• 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM): $24.55 per hour (includes shift differential)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
• Monitor resident wellness, document medication administration, and proactively communicate any changes in physical or behavioral health to the nursing supervisor.
• Assist with resident care activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed to support the floor team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure medication cart and clinical workspace.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Current Medication Technician certification/training per Pennsylvania state guidelines (or willingness to complete training).
• Prior experience passing medications in assisted living or personal care is highly valued.
• High reliability and strong attention to detail—our residents count on us for accurate and timely care.
• Must pass all standard pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
