Vista Prado Memory Care Community is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our dedicated team. As a Medication Technician, you will assist residents with medication self-administration, provide personal care services, maintain medication records, and support the overall health, safety, and well-being of our residents in a memory care setting.

Position Details

• Job Title: Medication Technician (Med Tech)
• Location: Vista Prado Memory Care Community – Vallejo, CA
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: NOC Shift
• Pay: Starting at $19.50/hour

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medication self-administration and reminders
• Maintain accurate medication inventory and documentation
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
• Bathing
• Dressing
• Hygiene and grooming
• Meal assistance
• Mobility and escorts to activities
• Complete incident reports and required documentation
• Assist during resident emergencies
• Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain clean and sanitary
• Complete resident laundry as needed
• Maintain an organized medication cart and accurate medication counts
• Communicate effectively with caregivers, nurses, families, and management
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all residents

Qualifications

• Medication Technician training/certification preferred
• CNA or Nurse Assistant experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• Negative TB test prior to employment
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and push up to 40 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience working with seniors or memory care residents is highly preferred
