Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medtech to join our healthcare team, providing vital support in delivering exceptional patient care across various settings. As a Medtech, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed medical professionals with patient care activities, ensuring accurate medical documentation, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed nurses and healthcare providers with patient care tasks including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and catheter care
- Support patients with activities of daily living such as mobility assistance, hygiene, and feeding, including tube feeding when necessary
- Document medical information accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality during all documentation and communication
- Monitor patients’ physiological parameters and report any abnormalities promptly to the healthcare team
- Assist with medical procedures involving anatomy knowledge, physiology, and medical terminology understanding
- Support home care and community-based services by coordinating patient needs and ensuring proper medical records management
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical documentation systems such as TabulaPro
- Hands-on experience with patient care activities including vital signs collection, medication administration, catheterization, and tube feeding
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous
- Strong understanding of hospice care, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), and senior care best practices
- Previous roles involving caregiving or home & community care that showcase compassion and attention to detail
