Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medtech to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a vital member of our care staff, you will provide high-quality support to residents in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home & community care environments. Your role will focus on assisting residents with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor vital signs regularly and report any health concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s care by implementing personalized memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
- Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in resident living areas
- Support safety protocols by performing routine cleaning, ensuring infection control standards are met, and assisting with emergency procedures such as first aid when needed
- Drive residents safely to appointments or outings when required, adhering to transportation safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, memory care practices, and working with individuals with disabilities is essential
- Certification or training in first aid is required; additional certifications in medication administration or EMR systems are advantageous
- Experience with personal care home environments or group homes is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage positively with residents
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to perform light cleaning duties and assist with general household tasks as part of comprehensive resident support

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
