Medtech/Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Medication Technicians and Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in an assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care, have experience working with diverse populations, and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. You will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, a toileting and medication assistance .
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety.
• Asisst residents with medications as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for maintaining medical records and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care, hospice care, or acute care is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential
• Current Med Tech certification
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of patient rights and confidentiality practices under HIPAA regulations.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
