Medtech/caregiver for all shifts ($1 extra per hr for NOC)

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Medtechs/Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in our assisted living. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This role requires a blend of technical skills and emotional intelligence to ensure the well-being and comfort of those in your care. We also offer an extra dollar per hour for NOC shifts worked here at Maplewood!

Duties

• Assist with ADLs (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with mobility and transfers using a gait belt to ensure safety and comfort.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Support residents with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, and laundry.
• Assist in bringing residents to meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding resident confidentiality.
• Document changes in resident behavior or condition promptly.
• Assist with serving meals prepared by our cook.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or Medtech roles, such as hospice care or working in assisted living/nursing home settings, is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions is a plus.
• Ability to perform catheter care and understand medication administration protocols.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Must be compassionate, resident-centered, and possess a strong sense of empathy toward residents' needs.
• A valid driver's license or ID and the ability to pass a background check are required prior to hire.
• An Idaho Food Handler's Card and CPR/First Aid certification are required within the first 30 days of employment.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
