Member Service Representative (MSR)

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for being the face of the credit union, ensuring members' needs are met through teller transactions, account opening and maintenance, and financial education. This role requires dedication to helping others and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance with BSA and regulatory requirements. Providing exceptional service is key to building trust and ensuring our members are happy. A Member Service Representative will work closely with colleagues throughout the credit union, always focusing on helping our members succeed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine teller transactions, maintain and balance cash, assist members with inquiries, resolve basic issues, and open/close standard accounts.
• Provide outstanding member service and contribute to the overall team effort.
• Cross-sell credit union products as appropriate.
• Perform routine support functions and duties as assigned.
• Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information.
• Ensure all actions are compliant with credit union policies and procedures.
• Establish, maintain, and increase knowledge of credit union philosophy and services.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency with transactions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• High school education or GED.
• 6 months of customer service experience is required.
• 1 year of cash handling experience preferred.
• Credit union experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills are a must.

• 5 days a week- full-time

• Semi-monthly

• VP of Operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.50 per hour
