Member Service Telephone Representative II

Serve as a Member Service Representative responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties related to establishing new accounts, deposits, Remote Deposit Capture, and other member service related tasks. Handle member account maintenance daily through telephone contact with members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist members in opening new accounts, to include savings, checking, holiday clubs, vacation clubs, CDs, etc.

Explain the different types of accounts available to members and suggest the appropriate account(s) to meet members’ needs.

Troubleshooting for member questions relating to ACH, Payroll, Online Banker, Bill Payer, Funds Transfer, Sharedrafts, ODP (Courtesy Pay), Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, Credit and Debit cards.

Perform file maintenance and account changes as necessary.

Perform routine member transactions and other member service functions as necessary.

Assist members by phone and in person on matters such as stop payments, account status, account balance, account maintenance, loan pay-offs, office hours, services offered. etc.

Complete end of day balancing using Electronic Presentment.

Performs other duties as necessary.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with members and co-workers.

Prior Credit Union or banking experience a plus but not required.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
