Mens Handbag and Accessories Designer -Downtown, LA

Seeking full-time Mens Handbag and Accessories Designer.

We are a women’s accessory company based in Downtown Los Angeles. We are currently doing production out of China and are looking for a full time Mens handbag and accessories designer to come on board and help us grow another division. We distribute to stores such as Nordstrom, Ross, TJX, Burlington, etc…

We are looking for the right candidate to help us build our handbag and accessories line for Mens and grow the business with current retail partners.

Requirements:

-Must have at least 3-5 years experience with overseas development.

-Must have at least 3-5 years experience with China developments.

-We are looking for design experience where the designer can bring paper come to life.

-Must know and understand how to construct a Bag with detailed measurements.

-Must know how to give it life and be on trend season after season.

-Create line sheets
-Be involved in big account appointments
-Prepare for appointments
-Merchandise samples
-Travel not mandatory unless needed for an appointment

-Must have own transportation

-Microsoft Office proficient (especially Excel)
-Photoshop/Adobe experience is a MUST
-Presentable, professional, well spoken
-PROMPT & TIMELY (hours M-F 9:00am-6:00pm )

The intention of this position is to bring in an enthusiastic candidate who can help us create lines every season to sell to major chain stores. You would work hands on with sales and the owners of the company to make sure we execute lines properly by season. You will work with overseas factories as well as our offices to design and develop your product. We have our own sample room in China which you will have a point person to direct all development questions to.

Please note that we are looking for a designer and not just a graphic designer. If you have Graphic design experience then that is a plus but we need someone to create handbags from pictures and bring them to life.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
