ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Always represent and uphold our mission statement while at the club

2. Adhere to all behavior and uniform standards outlined in the employee handbook

3. Warmly greet and welcome all members and guests

4. Assist and facilitate members and guests by helping and directing them to the proper location

5. Greet, and check-in members and guests at the host stand and assist by walking them to their table

6. Uphold our professional and genuine service standards specific to each food and beverage outlet, including a focus on going above and beyond to accommodate member’s special requests

7. Understand and execute the different service standards for events and banquets

8. Learn and understand the menus for all food and beverage outlets

9. Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available

10. Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar and Snack Areas

11. Follows set-up procedures

12. Prepares garnishes, fruits mixes and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening bar

13. Mixes, prepares and serves drinks to members and guests and mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food and beverage servers according to approved standard recipes

14. Collects checks and payments for drinks served

15. Reports complaints to a manager as they occur

16. Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment

17. Maintains records of liquors, beers and wine to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times

18. Cleans and locks the bar area according to prescribed closing procedures

19. Ensures that all food items are correctly stored, labeled, dated and rotated to prevent any health or safety hazards from occurring, and takes precautions against possible spoilage

20. Attends staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions and training as required

21. Carefully follows all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and informs manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question

22. Serves drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a beverage server

23. Continually practices beverage and revenue control procedures

24. Thanks members and guests; invites them to return

25. Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by supervisor. Moving and stocking of products delivered to the club

26. Stocks, Cleans and Organizes the Men’s Locker Room Facilities, Restrooms, Showers

27. Assists Members in retrieving items from their lockers, and storing items as requested

28. Accomodates membership requests, including irregular hours of operation on occasion

29. Assist with set up and break down of events to include but not limited to:

o Moving and arranging of tables

o Setting the tables per the event requirements

o Moving and setting up of buffet and food stations

o Assisting in the décor and the setting of the room or venue per the specific event requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENT:

High school diploma

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

Basset Certification

Servsafe Food Handlers Certification

Safe Workplace Sexual Harassment Training

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

At least one year of bartending experience with at least six months in catering/banquet

UNUSUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work days/nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee is frequently required to lift and move up to 50 pounds. The employee is routinely required to stand for long hours of time.
