Mental Health Clinician (Virtual)

Join Sunshine Counseling, a small private practice based on the south shore of Long Island. We are a group of diverse clinicians serving diverse populations across New York State. We are looking for a mental health clinician to join our practice. This is a W-2 (fee-for-service) position with clinical supervision available. This is a virtual​ position.​

• Sunshine Counseling is a psychotherapy practice nearing our 20th anniversary. We have operated on the south shore of Long Island​ since our inception and have expanded our service area to all of New York State, maximizing the use of our tools and resources.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• LMSW, MHC-LP, or an equivalent alternative
• NPI
• Must ​r​eside in the state of New York

Role and Responsibilities:

• Plan and administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions and behavior modification
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and session notes
• Collaborate with outside entities and community providers involved in care
• ​Join paid staff meetings (practice updates and clinical collaboration)
• Join paid supervision (if applicable)

Our Interview Process​:

• ​Review your application to ensure the minimum qualifications​ are met
• 60-minute video interview with our Clinical Director, Administrative Manager, and assistant staff
• Verification of references, experience, and credentials
• Send a formal Job Offer through our payroll service
• Offer for compensation based on experience, weekly client volume (part-time or full-time), any additional language proficiency, and licensing

​Training and Integration

• Paid training in the first week of employment
• Clinical ramp up to goal caseload
• 3-month probationary period of heightened oversight, training, and guidance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
