Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license required)

Acceptance Path Counseling in Katy (77450) is seeking fully licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW clinicians to join our growing, process-based group practice. We focus on behavioral and mindfulness-informed approaches that support meaningful, lasting client change.

Position Overview

As a therapist at Acceptance Path Counseling, you will provide evidence-based mental health services including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), process-based CBT, and mindfulness-based interventions. Our clinical model emphasizes functional, process-oriented work beyond traditional DSM-V categorization—helping clients build psychological flexibility and meaningful life improvements.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy services
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and create evidence-based treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in case consultation meetings
• Engage in ongoing professional development
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license in Texas
• Experience with mindfulness-based and behavioral interventions
• Strong clinical judgment and ethical standards
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to process-based, evidence-informed clinical practice

Compensation Options

You may choose from either 1099 Independent Contractor or W2 Employee (Salaried or Non-Salaried) structures.

1. 1099 Independent Contractor — High Earning Potential

• Competitive base split for the first 25 clients
• 85% split for any clients above 25 per week (or above an agreed-upon caseload)

2. W2 Split (Non-Salaried)

• Guaranteed W2 employment status
• Competitive base split for the first 25 sessions
• 80% split for any sessions beyond 25/week (or above agreed-upon caseload)
• Paid whether clients show or not depends on actual sessions seen (non-salaried)
• Medical insurance available
• PTO included

3. W2 Salaried (Guaranteed Pay)

• Fixed, reliable salary — paid even when clients no-show or cancel
• For any sessions beyond 25 per week, clinicians receive an additional $20 per session
• Ideal for clinicians wanting stability over fluctuating caseloads

Schedule Requirements

• Full-time status requires a minimum of 25 client sessions per week
• Flexible scheduling within practice business hours
